Eugenia Yu was trained in fashion design, which much of her work is influenced. She explores our relationship to fabric and material, using it to create various archetypes of 'practical fantasy'. Many of her works deal with collective memory and collective identity, recognized in her first public piece 'Father Collection', in 2006.
